Change Hard Disk Serial Number

Whenever you format a hard drive via Windows, it will generate a random serial number consisting of hex symbols (0-9, A, B, C, D, E, F) and many software and programs be bind to this serial number.

If for any reason, you've replaced you existing hard drive with a new one and one of your software needs to be activated again because the serial number of you hard drive was changed, you can then just use Hard Disk Serial Number Changer to change the serial number of your new drive.

To do this, you need to know first the serial number of your old drive (Execute the Serial Number Changer and take note of the serial number), and then replace your old hard drive with the new drive. And when you've already installed all the necessary programs in your new drive, just execute the Hard Disk Serial Number Changer and input the serial number of your old drive you've take note and click the Change button then reboot your computer.

The software that is bind with that serial number of your old drive will work fine and won't asked to be activated again. Because it will think that it is still the same drive you're using.

Portable Windows Movie Maker

Windows Movie Maker is a useful apps built-in on Windows XP and it's enough if you'll just create or perform basic editing of a video, but Windows Movie Maker was stripped down by Microsoft to their newly released OS (Vista and Windows 7).

So one developer have created a portable version of Windows Movie Maker based on Movie Maker 2.1. The Portable Windows Movie Maker can be run on any computer with Windows XP, Vista, or 7. You can also run it directly from your trusty USB drive.

The developer who created the portable version also includes some transitions and effects which makes it better than the original version 2.1.

How to Delete Undeleatable Virus?

Sometimes, our trusty anti-virus can detect but can't delete a virus because it is currently running or it's been loaded in the memory and can't be deleted. This is one of the most frustrating thing that can be experienced when working with viruses.

Luckily, there is a simple tool that can be used to get rid of those viruses called KillBox. This tool will try to kill and delete the file, and if it can't, you have the option to instruct KillBox to delete the virus file after the system rebooted.

KillBox is standalone, meaning you can easily use it on any system that you need to manually delete a virus reported by your anti-virus program but failed to delete. It is advisable to have it on your small usb thumbdrive so if ever you'll come in a situation that you need to delete a virus, you won't just bang your head on your computer monitor.

To use KillBox, just launch KillBox and browse for the file reported by your anti-virus program and choose "delete on reboot". Then reboot your computer. The file should have been deleted when your systems boot.
