Imagine if you can copy the face of your son to wow your family.

Here's what you'll need:
  • A good close-up picture
  • A photo printer
  • Photo printing paper (the thickest-or heaviest stock-that your printer can use)
  • A paint stirring stick or strips of wide ribbon
  • PC with Windows XP
Tips to get the best image:
  • Be sure that your subject's face is well-lit, with no deep shadows.
  • Move in as close as possible and use less zoom, so your subject's face fills the screen.
  • Make you're subject look scared or happy.
  • You can use makeup to create Halloween scars or whatever special effects.
  • Shoot several times so you can choose the best one for your mask.

Here's how to crop the image:

  • Select the cropping tool in your digital image editor or image library program and select only the face.
  • Crop the image and save a copy with a new name.

Here's how to print the photo:

Use the Photo Printing Wizard in Windows XP because it will print a photo that is large enough for a mask.
  • Open your save image.
  • Click Print pictures under Picture Tasks.
  • In the Photo Printing Wizard, click Next.
  • Click to select the photo you want to print.
  • Click Next.
  • Select a printer and then click Next.
  • Select Full page photo print.
  • Click Next to print your mask image.
NOTE: Be sure to dry the photo thoroughly before assembling the mask.

Here's how to assemble:

Cut the perimeter of the face of the photo by using a sharp scissor.

You can assemble your mask in two different ways:

  • If you are going to wear the mask, cut holes for the eyes and mouth. Punch a hole on each side of the mask (probably on ears) and use rubberband to hang it to your ears.
  • If you want only to hold the mask, just cut holes for the eyes and then glue the mask to a stick. This is the best option for greeting trick-or-treaters because you don't have to wear it around the house all evening.

That's All! Happy Halloween!
